I have been crafting fine
items from wood for many, many years. It is a spiritual excersize for me. It is a creative craft. Creating is a gift from God. I recognize that, and acknowledge it freely.
The Maker's Mark I have is a combination of a symbol and my initials - "SCS" - Stephen Charlesworth Shay. The shepherd's crook symbolizes for me God's care for humanity in and through Jesus Christ who is the Good Shepherd.
Since I am an ordained clergyman and a worker in wood, the idea of being a wood shepherd seemed applicable and right. Thus the name: Woodshepherd.
